On the 5 th of March, it is International Open Data Day again! This day is an annual celebration of open data from over the world. In this spirit, there are local events from the United States to Japan, and from Finland to South Africa. Last year in Europe alone, over 60 events were organised. All of these events show how the community uses open data and how it benefits them. Creating awareness around open data and its benefits aims to encourage governments, businesses, and civil society initiatives worldwide to adopt open data policies and inspire others to do the same.
