Prepare for the future: Our Academy courses on open data portals will lead the way

Create a deeper understanding of open data platforms and how to use them

This week’s highlight focuses on our data.europa Academy ‘Portal’ courses, that are designed to equip data professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate through the open data landscape. There are two insightful courses about finding and understanding data portals and how to use the data that you have gathered.

Our course ‘Moving towards Data Spaces’ provides content on the concept of data spaces, which support data sharing across sectors and shape our society and economy. Through a combination of e-learnings, webinars, and reading materials, you will explore the role of open data platforms, the sustainability of data portal infrastructures, and the future of open data portals. Key lessons include understanding user needs, the role of data.europa.eu in EU data spaces, and preparing for the future of open data portals.

Meanwhile, the ‘Improving Open Data and Metadata Quality’ course focuses on providing and collecting high-quality data and metadata. Lessons within this course will teach you how to clean data, choose the right format, as well as opportunities and challenges of citizen-generated data. Experienced users can also find newly added content here, like the workshops on ‘How to use open data for your research’ that teach data users with real-life cases of the academic world.

Do you want to know how to make use of the benefits of open data portals? Or are you ready to become an even better expert? Explore our Academy courses on portals, which offer you a variety of content, where new webinars are regularly added to keep you up to date with the latest developments.
