Description
When we talk about ‘open data’, we mean legal openness, so everybody can access, reuse and distribute it. This lesson is a first introduction to open data licensing, and what it means in practice. Through e-learnings, videos, readings, and the licensing tool, you’ll be able to differentiate between the different licenses, build a machine-readable open license that can be applied to all online content, and use the data.europa.eu licensing tool. By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to select the right open data license for your dataset.

It also gives an overview of how to apply licences as re-publisher or distributor of open data and how to combine multiple licences.
